LHC was hoping to pick up 3 points and hope a HV 71 loss would put themselves in first and Djurgården was hoping for a home win to put themselves past Färjestad into 3rd place. No such luck but, both teams picked up points in Linköpings overtime win Saturday. The leagues leading goal scorer, Jan Hlavac, started thing out by putting LHC up by one at 10:54 in the first period. Mikka Hanula tied for DIF early in the second. But, Linköping's Mattias Carlsson gave the visiting team back the lead when he netted at 7:28 of the second period. Brynäs had the Holiday spirit Saturday the 26th of December. Enough spirit to take a 3-0 first period lead against visiting Frölunda. Mads Hansen, Andreas Dackell and Jonas Nordqvist all scored even-strength goals in the first. Christian Bäckman made it a game again and gave FHC hope when he scored just 30 seconds in to the third period. But, those hopes were shattered from a shot from Sebastian Lauritzen's stick that beat Johan Holmqvist and put BIF back up by three. With less than 5 minutes left in the match Tomi Kallio made it 4-2 but, Andreas Dackell got his second goal on an empty netter securing the 5-2 Brynäs win.
